As we move into February, the ALGA continues to plan for our upcoming year.
Golf season is just around the corner. There are no official play days in April, but a group of us will make tee times to play on April 3 at Alto, and April 17 at Outlaw. The tee times will be secured two weeks in advance and we will notify you of tee times that are available. Our first official event will be a joint event May 1 with the AMGA and AL9GA. It will be a step-aside scramble. This was a very popular event last year, and we expect more participation this year.
As a reminder, all of our major tournaments will be on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays. Some key dates are:
Member/Member: June 12-14
Kachina: July 10-12 (Registration on July 9)
Club Championship: August 21-23
Laureen Zelt, Paula Sommers, and I attended the PGA, show along with John Rogers and Elizabeth Schleck. We had a VERY PRODUCTIVE show, and had a blast seeing the latest and greatest in golf. We came back with some fantastic tee prize ideas that will offer variety and a little something for everyone!! Excited about 2024 is putting it mildly.
The first Border Event this year March 19 at Horizon Country Club, hosted by Campestre Golf Club. If you have any questions or about paying your dues, please contact Rhonda Mclnroy at [email protected].
I have had many of you ask about Kirk Taylor. Kirk is doing very well and is expected to be back to work for light duty on March 1st. Thank you for all your support and prayers that were sent to Kirk and family.
Thanks
Kim Lagasse-President ALGA
