Hello, all!
Our summer fun is coming to an end, and what a great year we have had! You all have made this year super amazing. On behalf of your AL9GA board, we appreciate the confidence you all put in us to lead the 9-holers through this season. Our growing pains were a challenge, but we got through it. Hoping that next year we can play front and back 9 so we do not have a wait list.
The AL9GA board is working with John Rogers, Glen Denney, Golf and Greens, and the Board of Directors on next year’s calendar. There will NOT be any play on Mondays for our regular season. Glen Denney needs that day for course maintenance. They have not decided which day Kokopelli will be closed for maintenance, and Outlaw will remain closed on Tuesdays as usual. We are asking for Tuesday or Thursday – front and back 9, to alternate between Kokopelli and Alto – we may have a few Outlaw play days, but will play a scramble on those days. We will keep you posted as to what the club leaders decide for our play day.
Our luncheon in September was such a fun time! Thank you, Susan Holmes, for setting up and organizing the Awards Luncheon. Thank you also to Dedra Mergele for decorating the tables. The food, the raffle, and the end-of-the-year awards all went well. Congratulations to all those who received an award - see below for a list of award recipients.
Also, at the luncheon, you all voted for 2024 Officers for AL9GA. Thank you for your confidence! Most of us will continue to serve next year. Your new officer board and committee chairs are:
Cindy Delay – President
Susan Holmes – Vice President
Pat Parker – Treasurer
Sandy Barron – Secretary (New 2024)
Amy Fox – Past President
Dianna Gibson – Play Day, Communication, Recorder, Sleeping Bear & Mama Zia
Diane Graham - Kachina Doll (New 2024)

Reverse Raffle – Looking for someone to serve – interested? Let me know.
The Reverse Raffle was a huge success, as you all know. All three Associations, ALGA, AL9GA & AMGA, received over $17,000 each after expenses. A huge thank you to Stacy Barr and Amy Fox, who worked hard, long hours putting this event together. If you are interested in serving on this team next year, please let us know.
The fall season here in the mountains is so beautiful; be sure to enjoy yourselves and take it all in! We will play a scramble on our Oct 2nd playday at Alto. It is a Costume-Quirky Golf Fun Day with lunch. Dress up in costume and get ready for a fun day. There will be a costume and golf game team prizes. Oct 9th is the ALTRUSA play day. That is breast cancer awareness day for the AL9GA. Wear pink, decorate your golf cart in pink, and bring money for a donation. Hope to see you all there!
That about wraps it up. Enjoy our beautiful fall weather, and safe travels for all who are leaving for the winter! We will see you next spring.
Cindy Delay
AL9GA President
