Welcome, Laurie Wright!

Hello, Alto! I am delighted to be joining the team – my name is Laurie Wright, and I am the new Food and Beverage Manager at Kokopelli! Born and raised in Carlsbad, NM, I have been in the food/bar/restaurant business since I was 17 years old – I have worked as a cook, bartender, server, and manager, both in the back of house and front of house: the whole gamut. I started out working in our family business, Lucy’s Mexicali Restaurant, in Carlsbad – my mother Lucy Yanez is a wonderful cook, and she’s kept the family restaurant up and running for 50 years.

In 2020, I made the decision to relocate to Ruidoso and eventually open my own business, Mama Lucy’s Café. We had a successful run of two years, until January 2024; I have met a lot of phenomenal people and had a wonderful time. When my lease was up, I looked around for another location without much luck, so I decided in the end to not renew and see what new adventures were out there for me.I have three amazing children – Justin, LeAnn, and Ashlee. My girls have givenme three precious grandchildren, named Andrew, Ashtin, and Benjamin. I love being outdoors, hiking, enjoy motorcycle riding, and spending time with my grandbabies. And I absolutely love live music!

I am ecstatic and can't wait to open up Kokopelli for the membership. My goal isto make our newly renovated clubhouse into a place where you will all feel like home, and I’m looking forward to sharing some of my very own authentic New Mexican recipes with you!
I know this club is really something special. I am beyond blessed to be part of this great team, and I am ready to begin my Alto journey with you!

The Alto Food Truck will be OPEN at Kokopelli!

Food Truck hours are 11am-4pm, Weds-Sun.

The Kokopelli Golf Shop is OFFICIALLY open for business! (Among other things, we’ve added a dressing room or two.) Come on in and say “Hello” to the staff, check out the fresh, new renovations, and keep updated on the brand new merchandise that we will have coming in every day. We’re looking forward to seeing you!

Tennis:

Kokopelli boasts two tennis courts, which are now available for members to reserve on Foretees. Navigate to the Foretees Tab and click on "Courts."

Kokopelli Tennis Courts:
Co-ed 2.5/3.0 Doubles - Monday and Friday, 9-11am, Both Courts
Men's 3.5+ Doubles - Wednesday, 9-11am

Outlaw Tennis Courts:

Men's 3.5+ Doubles - Monday, 9-11am
Ladies' 3.5+ Doubles - Friday, 9-11am
Mixed Doubles - Sunday, 12-2pm
