Happy April, everyone!
Spring is here…Yay! Everything will soon be greening up and hopefully you all will be getting in more golf.
The AL9GA board did not meet in March, but there was lots of work going on behind the scenes. Dianna Gibson, our Play Day Chair (one of her many hats), has gotten all our Play Days lined out and on the Club calendar. You can go the Club website, click on Associations, click on AL9GA and you will see the 2023 Play Day calendar, all of our summer socials, and our two tournaments – Sleeping Bear and Mama Zia. Mark your calendars and be ready for lots of golf. The Sleeping Bear tournament is our Member-Member tournament. You will need to partner up with another 9-hole member. If you need help, we will have a list of players who need a partner.
Two-player average handicap must be 20 or higher (add two handicaps together and divide by 2)
-Handicaps will be adjusted so that they are no more than 10 strokes apart-
Example: Player 1 is 22 handicap & Player 2 is 35 handicap–player 2 adjusts to 32
The Mama Zia tournament is for Member-Guest. You may get another Alto club member, as long as she is not a member of the 9-holers, or bring someone else in as your guest. The tournament forms and fees will be on the website soon and we will also have them at the Play Day sign-in table. Our first Play Day is May 1st, so get those clubs dusted off and we will see you at the Clubhouse at 8:30 check-in – 9:00 tee time.
We are still taking orders for our long-sleeve IBKul golf shirts. If you haven’t ordered yet and want a shirt, please let me know.
Also, check out all the many activities our club has for us. There is so much to choose from, and I find it hard to decide. Cards, Dominos, Exercise, Line Dance, Concerts, Happy Hour, and of course Golf, Golf, and more Golf.
See you soon, and Happy Easter Everyone!
