Greetings:
As we reach July we all think rain! It is unfortunate whenever we have to restrict carts to the paths but sometimes it is inevitable. We don’t want to make this decision, but we are forced to make this decision. It is in the best interest of the turf vitality. We do appreciate your patience with this and hopefully we can be back to normal soon.
Tournament season is in full swing. In addition to association play days, June saw the AMGA Match play, the ALGA Member-Member, Team Match Play, The Lincoln County War, and Folds of Honor. July brings much more as we really get going with these events.
BILLING NO SHOWS: Just a housekeeping issue that needs mention. If you do not show up for your tee time you will be billed for it. As we are in full season, these tee times are precious to everyone. Please keep track of all your bookings and please cancel if you do not play.
UPCOMING IN JULY:
ALGA Kachina Doll: 7/11-7/13 (Alto and Outlaw) 8:00 AM all days
ALGA Sadie Hawkins: 7/19 (Alto & Outlaw) 8:30 shotguns on both courses
AMGA Club Championship: 7/23-7-25 (Alto & Outlaw)
Please refer to the club website Golf Tournament Portal for further details on these events.
Our new lithium golf carts are now on-ground at Outlaw! We had a bit of a snag with the delivery (still waiting on some wheel covers and rain covers) but they will be complete soon. We hope you enjoy them. They should also help operations greatly going forward. We will also have the same fleet coming for Alto in 2024.
HOLE-IN-ONE REPORT: We have two holes in one to report for June. Terri Massey aced the 5th hole at Outlaw from the white tees, 131 yards with an 8-iron. Her witnesses were her husband Mack, and Robert and Joannie Markowitz. On 6/14, Russell Bliese made a 1 on #3 at Alto from 114 yards with a sand wedge. This makes his career total 2. He was witnessed by his wife Linda, and Brian and Nancy Buffone. Great shots to both of you.
Are you in the Hole-in-One Club? If you are interested, please contact Charisse Wadsworth at [email protected]. The program costs $5 per person and reloads each time a Hole-in-One participant makes a hole-in-one. Each Golf Shop has a simple form to fill out should you have one. Inquire at either Golf Shop for the form.
