Alto Lakes Scholarship Fund (ALSF)

The Alto Lakes Scholarship Fund is twofold: to provide financial assistance to postsecondary students who wish to continue their education and to provide recruitment incentives for ALGCC summer employees.

Guidelines for Employee/Intern Scholarship Program

All Scholarships will be awarded through Scholarship Committee action, as determined by Alto Lakes Scholarship Fund, Inc. Selection of scholarship recipients are based upon criteria including, but not limited to:

  • Minimum overall GPA of 2.5
  • Scholastic Achievements
  • Community Service
  • Supervisor Recommendation
  • Job Performance
  • Financial Need
All recipients must work at least 300 hours between May 15th and Labor Day, the first Monday in September.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants are high school graduating seniors and currently enrolled or recently admitted postsecondary students. Programs in the hospitality industry and golf course management are emphasized, but all degree and certificate programs are eligible. Full-time ALGCC employees are eligible for Tuition Reimbursement.

Requirements

  • Copy of high school or college transcripts with submission of written application.
  • Minimum 12-hour course load for college students.
  • Supervisory evaluation and recommendation.
